AMSTERDAM GUIDE
Seventeenth Century Canal Ring.

I took a short trip mid February to the beautiful city of Amsterdam, coincidently flying out from Manchester Airport on Valentines Day with my boyfriend Marshall, and oh what a wonderful trip it was.
Everything about Amsterdam is what I adore in a city, it was vibrant, cultural, picture-esque and definitely interesting to say the least. A short flight with the duration just under an hour I couldn't say no to a city break.

I wanted to discover hidden gems in the city and not just see the notorious tourist attractions, although some of them are a must.

Our hotel of choice for our three night stay was citizenM Amsterdam,
an abstract hotel situated outside of the hustle&bustle of the city, with a tram stop just outside to head into the central areas.
Not only our hotel easy to find with its own check-in check-out simplistic self service but our room was insane due to the size of the bed.. XL King Size with the "softest and fluffiest pillows" (a quote taken from their website), it made the end of our day enjoyable knowing we was hopping into luxury at night!
Not to mention the iPad that each room in the hotel came with, allowing you to control almost anything from the tap of a button, such as.. electronic blinds closing on your command, tv controls and mood lighting. All very exciting..
